It’s been a stellar 2018 for Elaine Duyvestyn. She celebrated 50 years at Melbourne Softball, capped off another great Metro League season and has now been announced as a finalist in the 2018 Vicsport Awards.
She was nominated and shortlisted for the State Government of Victoria Service to Victorian Community Sport and Recreation

This award recognises a member of the Victorian sport and active recreation community who has made a positive difference to the opportunities and experiences available to others over a long period of time. They could be a paid or volunteer administrator, official, umpire or coach or otherwise involved in the sector, who has provided support, encouragement or inspiration through hard work; often through self-sacrifice and without personal gain.
We at Melbourne Softball think that embodies her to a t and we’re incredibly proud of her and the hard work she has put in over the last 50 years.
Winners will be announced on February 20th 2019 at a gala event at Marvel Stadium. Tickets are available for anyone who would like to come along. Details on the VicSport website
