Busy weekend for the MSA and softball in general – not only were we in the park raising money for the Breast Cancer Network Australia but we also had our participation awards going on. Congratulations to Nicole Bell from Red Devils for earning herself some $ for two pick offs from behind the plate.
Saturday evening saw the Softball Victoria State Dinner conducted and the MSA would like to offer its congratulations to Debbie Grove from the Keilor Park Softball Association on being awarded life membership for her untiring efforts to the SV umpiring committee. We also offer congratulations to the Merle Short Service Award recipients: Andrea Mansfield, Chris Clinnock, Sharon Jansen, Mel Jansen and Judy Hanlon.
Lastly we’d like to offer congrats to several players from the association who either obtained State Selection – Dave Butler from the Melbourne University Club, or who who attained MVP or best team player awards – Natasha Holt, Mihikura Tuialii and Gabrielle Mifsud. Well done to everyone!
