Danielle Senyschyn – Life Membership

Life Membership Conferred 2024

Danielle officially began her softball journey in 2010 as a player with Melbourne University Softball Club. Over the following thirteen seasons at Fawkner Park, she established herself as a dedicated contributor both on and off the diamond, working tirelessly for her club and the broader association.

From 2011, Danielle expanded her involvement beyond playing, taking on committee responsibilities with MUSC as Team Manager and Media/Communications Officer. Her organisational skills and commitment to the sport were quickly recognised, leading to her appointment as Secretary of the Melbourne Softball Association Executive Committee in May 2013, a position she held with distinction until her resignation in December 2022.

Throughout her tenure as Secretary, Danielle also served as the association's Social Media Officer, helping to modernise communication and engagement within the softball community. Her technical expertise proved invaluable when she took on the role of Webmaster in May 2013, a position she continues to hold today, maintaining the association's digital presence and ensuring vital information reaches players, coaches, and supporters.

Danielle's contributions extended to representative softball, where she was selected as a member of the Melbourne Open Representative team for the Werribee Memorial Shield, showcasing her playing ability at the highest association level.

Her exceptional service to Melbourne Softball was formally recognised in 2015 when she received the prestigious Duyvestyn Service Award for her service to softball at Fawkner Park. This recognition was followed by an even greater honour in 2022, when Softball Victoria presented her with the Merle Short Service Award for her outstanding service to an affiliated association.

While Danielle stepped back from her physical involvement at the park after thirteen seasons, her commitment to Melbourne Softball endures through her continued work as webmaster. Her legacy encompasses not only her playing contributions but also her vital administrative work that has helped modernise and strengthen the association's operations and community engagement.
