Poppy Bouhalis – Life Membership 2016
Poppy has been an active participant at Fawkner Park since 1995. She was originally a member of the RMIT Rhinos club from when she first played in 1995 until 2006 when the club became defunct. Poppy was then instrumental in the establishment of Red Devils club and since its inception in 2007 has held various roles on the committee and on the diamond as coach or assistant coach. In 2010 Poppy was also contributory in the founding of the Red Devils team in the Corporate Slowpitch League.
Poppy Bouhalis has also served the Melbourne Softball Association very creditably for more than twelve years:

She has been an active hands on member assisting at events or activities the MSA has hosted or been involved with, in particular her passion for building awareness of the indigenous community.
She has also represented the MSA at various softball, local government and general community forums
In 2001 Poppy was a recipient of the Year of the Volunteer award along with fifty seven other members of MSA, she was recognised for her committment as an administrator for the RMIT Rhinos.
In 2003 Poppy was awarded the MSA Service Award for service to softball at Fawkner Park and that award is now supplemented with this Life Membership.
